Here we are, my first hotel review. So be indulgent with me, I will try my best, but feel free to ask me questions or give me advices for my next review in the comment section down below, it’s always a pleasure to read you.
During My trip in the majestic fashion world capital, I stayed at the Hotel Cervo Milano. Here’s my experience…
The Hotel and the location
The Hotel Cervo Milano is a simple and non pretentious 3 stars hotel.
The Porta Nuova district
Located in the Porta Nuova district, the new business area, between the historic center and the central station in the lovely street. It’s a great location if you want to visit the city.
The Porta Nuova area is very enjoyable and a bit more modern that the historic center. Even if it’s not the most touristic area, believe me you still have plenty of curiosities to see, like the Via Corso Como and the Bosco Verticale on the picture just above.
The rooms are very simple and elegant. Sure, if you are more into modern design, then this hotel will maybe not be for you. And even if I’m not a big fan of old style hotels too, I had a wonderful stay there.
I think the size of the room and the bathroom was pretty good, but for the price, don’t expect anything very spacious.
Im not a very picky person concerning hotel rooms or any other travel accommodations, but there is two things that are very important to me, the comfort of the bed and the cleanliness. About the Cervo Hotel, I have nothing negative to say, the bed was very comfortable and the room and the bathroom were very clean too.
The rooms offer the following services: Satellite TV, free WiFi Internet access, air conditioning, mini bar and a hair dryer and a small courtesy in the bathroom.
Right when we arrived, I could see that the service would be good. We were welcomed by a very kind man. We arrived at the hotel in the morning and the check in hour was 12pm, but as the room was already ready they accepted to give us the key. But if the rooms are not ready you can just leave your bags at the reception and take them when you come back later.
The only thing I can’t tell you is that I don’t really know if the staff can speak english, I was speaking Italian with them and I didn’t really notice when they were discussing with other travelers.
Award wining breakfast
They say that the most important meal of the day is the breakfast. Usually I never eat breakfast. I have a full time job and I don’t have time in the morning to enjoy a good meal in the morning, so what I do is eating an energy bar or a fruit in front of my computer at the office. But when I do travel, I like to take my time and savor a big and yummy breakfast.
As you can see in the pictures above, the Hotel Cervo serves good and diverse food each morning… fruits, pastries, bread, cereals, cheese and cold meats, coffee and juices. There croissants and cookies are so delicious by the way. I wanted to try everything and as you may see in the last picture that’s what I did !
Useful information you need to know, the breakfast is always included in the room price.
What I liked the most
Well, I am pretty sure I don’t need to tell what was the highlight of my stay at the Cervo Hotel because you probably already guessed ! Right ?
Yes, it was the breakfast obviously ! It isn’t a secret Im a big food lover.
What I disliked the most
The walls are really thin and you can hear everything coming from the hall or from other rooms. But to be honest, I have never been in a hotel before where it was not the case even if it was a 5 stars hotel.
You can check the Hotel Website for more information and pictures. The Website is very completed and available in different languages.
